Hi my name is Carolyn and I am a single mom of four boys 3 of which are ADHD and have learning disabilities like me whom I love very dearly and it is hard but I do what I can. I know all too well what it's like and how hard it is to learn but I know that when you are teaching a child you have to have their attention, no child wants to be board about what they are learning, that's why I started writing this book. I wanted to catch my children's attention at the time I wrote this book. I had a nephew I was trying to teach as well he helped me with this book. We went through each letter of this book and there's nothing like seeing a child light up and want to learn but my nephew did. I also have a son that is learning his alphabets and he has such a rough time. He has brought home these cards with letters on them that his teacher provides for him that he knows he has to learn but he doesn't really want to learn but when I dig out my book there is such a change. He just lights up and all the sudden wants to learn and we go through every letter, he points at each of the pictures, and we read all about the picture together with these books he wants to learn. He not only gets to learn his alphabet but he learns how to read too because he reads along with me. I know all too well that you have to get a child focused and it works all the better if they are having fun with it and it gives the parent a chance to interact and help the child learn as well. It is so much fun learning and teaching together with all the colors and pictures and fun facts that come with the book. I wrote this book so that my children and nephews would have a new way to learn and I wanted a chance to share that with other parents and children as well. I can only hope that you would have as much fun as I do with this book and your child as I do with my boys.
