Paul introduces the "foundation stones" of the Christian faith with the exhortation found in Hebrews 5:11 through 6:2. We can conclude that maturity in our walk with Christ does not necessarily come with time. The first and most important step is ensuring a solid foundation in Jesus Christ. Just as with the Hebrews whom Paul addressed, we can remain as spiritual babies or go on to maturity. Maturity in Christ comes only through the understanding of God's Word and the practical experience of it working together.
