The face of television broadcasting is changing in ways that are both profound and subtle. This work uncovers the particular processes by which the international circulation of culture takes place, while addressing larger cultural issues such as identity formation. It explores the ways these international co-productions create a global culture.
This work reviews the transnational, industrial nature of TV to show the dramatic changes that have taken place in the medium and how this already ubiquitous force is growing to be an ever larger and more powerful vehicle for cultural change.
