Raashida Janear Moore-Brisco is a wife, daughter, and mother of four wonderful children and three beautiful dogs. She has loved storytelling since she was a child; she remembers turning class vocabulary sheets into fascinating stories for her peers. After years of reading children's books to her children, she has decided to cultivate the world of Mayah, a curious raccoon learning about life with her friends and family by her side. Her inspiration for most of her characters comes from her family and the people around her. At the end of the day, when she's not switching her capes among mother, wife, and beautician, she's an author trying to take the same joy she brings her family to other families across the world.
