When Liz's long-term relationship ends, she returns to her home town for some time out from men but it's a small town she doesn't seem to be able to avoid them. While Liz's brain deals with the numbers, her biological clock continues to tick. Her hormones are relentless in their search for a potential father for her much-wanted child amid the fascinating array of clients she inherits.

Gavin is one of those clients; a successful, suave businessman who believes in mixing business with pleasure, especially when his new accountant is an attractive single female. His wealth allows him to show Liz a world she hasn't experienced before, encouraging her to follow her heart's desire. Neither of them, are aware where that will lead.

Then there is Matt, the very handsome Matt who constantly appears and reappears when needed despite his own problems - a gambling addicted ex-wife whose left him with three children to raise.
