Ten years after the Trojan War, Ulysses finally undertakes the return to Ithaca, his homeland, across the Mediterranean Sea. There his faithful wife Penelope and his son Telemachus continue to await him, who will go in search of news of him while Penelope's hateful suitors loot the palace waiting for her to choose a new husband. It will be a journey full of adventures: huge storms hit his ship, he will have to face great monsters, such as the mermaids, Scylla, Charybdis or Polyphemus, the cyclops; and gods and sorceresses will turn against him. But, in front of all of them Ulysses wins, partly thanks to his cunning and, above all, thanks also to the protection of Athena, goddess of wisdom.
