It is the understanding of who I am as an individual (my identity) that facilitates and drives my beliefs and my behavior.
When taking a moment to reflect on my own life over 50 plus years, I have come to understanding that I truly did not have a real grasp of who Kevin was. I lived my out of an understanding of what I needed to do and of what was expected of me from others.
This led to a long life of deception and fraud on my part. It wasn't until 2006 when I began praying from Ephesians 1: 17 - 19, that I started to get a clearer picture of who I am.
My identity is tied to Jesus Christ (1 John 3: 1 - 3) but I lacked understanding of who He is. As I began to listen for His voice and hear His words through scripture I began to see Him as He is and not as I believed Him to be. My unveiling has been gradual but consistent.
This book, "Living in God's Amazing Grace" reflects how life looks now as I embrace who I am because of the Love of God. His love is perfect and where perfect love resides, there is no fear, which allows me to be who I was purposed by the father to be.
