The together project, funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg, aimed to develop an innovative teaching concept for intercultural understanding with partner universities in the Danube region. The interdisciplinary approach of the two Bachelor's programmes Communication Design and Advertising and Market Communication at the University of Applied Sciences for Communication and Design (HfK+G) formed the basis for a series of workshops in Germany, Croatia and Hungary. Students from both the HfK+G in Germany and the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University Osijek (Croatia) and the University of Pécs (Hungary) met in changing constellations from 2019 to 2021. This report presents the derivation of a specific conception of teaching-learning situations in the sense of 'research-based teaching' for the degree programme 'Advertising and Market Communication' at the HfK+G. Furthermore, the different learning progress within a project section in the encounter of German and Hungarian students was qualitatively examined-with surprising results that give rise to further research.
