About the Author/Illustrator: Patricia Clark Smith, author & illustrator of Lessons from the Garden, is a retired Connecticut educator. She enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren; planning family celebrations; vacationing in Baiting Hollow, Long Island; gardening; art; reading; and writing. In addition to Lessons from the Garden, Pat has published seven other childrens books, edited, and illustrated childrens books for local authors, Mollie Wilson and Kelly Smith Papa. Pat is currently Vice President of the Garden Club of Avon.
