Public transportation plays a vital role in the daily lives of commuters, providing them with convenient and accessible transportation options by analyzing the demographic characteristics and correlation between variables, valuable insights can be gained to improve the public transportation system and address the challenges faced by commuters. This study examined various factors related to public transportation in Inopacan, including alternative transportation options, parking facilities, weather conditions, safety concerns, and overall satisfaction. The demographic characteristics of the respondents, including age, gender, occupation, and civil status, were also analyzed. Statistical computations were performed to assess correlations and significance levels. The findings revealed a significant representation of younger individuals in the sample, with slightly higher proportions in the 51-60 age group. Gender distribution indicated a majority of female respondents, with a notable presence of LGBTQ+ individuals. Students formed the largest occupation group among the respondents. Correlation analyses showed weak associations between limited alternative transportation options and the availability of public transportation, inadequate parking facilities and the affordability of transportation fares, weather conditions and the reliability of public transportation services, safety concerns during the commute, and overall satisfaction with public transportation. These relationships were not statistically significant, suggesting limited connections between the factors. Based on the findings, recommendations were made to improve alternative transportation options, address inadequate parking facilities, enhance the reliability of public transportation services, address safety concerns, and tailor services for different demographic groups. These recommendations aimed to enhance accessibility, reliability, and safety while considering the specific needs of the residents. This study contributed to a better understanding of the then-current state of public transportation in Inopacan and provided insights for policymakers and stakeholders to improve the overall transportation system. Further research and interventions were warranted to address the identified issues and enhance the overall commuting experience for residents.
