As two clocks lilt in opposing grooves
The sound of laughter from the next room
The amphibious amphitheater down below
Sends an evening serenade wafting

These are the sounds that soothe
What in reality was a steady progression over time felt like the span of a
nineties sitcom episode. One day as eyeglasses sat on Timothy Samuel's nose,
they literally changed his perspective, while simultaneously growing a new
yearning to see beyond the surface. Somewhere in the blur of graduations,
weddings, and a pandemic, each of these events, while starkly different in
nature, prompted reflection.
In a collection of poems, Timothy explores a multitude of topics about feelings
and experiences through mindful lenses that include seeing and appreciating
the people around him, the beauty of nature, and himself as he looks in the
mirror and sees a different man. Throughout his poems, Timothy welcomes
others to find encouragement and new perspectives in our common experiences.
