Rebecca wanted to pen memories and childhood tales of her
mother, the artist Nancy Chu Woo, that had kept her children
entertained as their favorite bedtime stories when they were
small, and that they remember fondly to this day. These capsules
of mischief chosen for the book Naughty Nancy are amongst the
most memorable, and were her younger daughter Erinn's favorites.
Her older daughter Kiera helped with editing the stories, and of
course Nancy herself was the artist behind the illustrations.
The anecdotes resonate with the child that is in us all, and hopefully
remind us not to take life too seriously; that where there is a will
there is a way; and most importantly, that we need to be curious
and determined and embrace all that life might bring us.
