Lisa Zimmermann is a science journalist and author from Germany. After graduating from university with an old-fashioned German title called Magister in German literature, she moved to Cork in Ireland, where she learned to dance the Ceili and made friends who are still in her life today. On her return to Germany, she trained as a journalist and, after a short period of self-employment in public relations, ended up as a science journalist at a renowned German water research institute. Here she is responsible for the communication and public relations of large EU-funded water research projects and other things. She discovered her love for writing late in life, after moving back to Germany from Ireland, while looking for something to keep the English language in her everyday life. After years of creating short stories, fanfiction and roleplaying with others on various platforms, she finally decided to write her debut novel 'The Prophecy' in English. When she is not writing or working, she can be found singing in a chamber choir, occasionally appearing on local theatre stages, having regular pen and paper roleplaying sessions with her friends, or battling with impostor syndrome. She believes in the power of kindness and lives in Germany with her husband, two daughters and a very opinionated cat.
