In a story that crosses centuries, a modern descendant of Ichabod Crane finds herself in Sleepy Hollow and learns more about her famous ancestor than she ever imagined possible, including that he passed his curse down to her and that the Headless Horseman won't stop until Ichabod's bloodline is wiped out.
When Ichabod Crane found himself in a sleepy little village along the bank of the Hudson River, he never expected to meet a fledgling author who would one day make him famous; nor did he ever think he would encounter a long-dead soldier who lost his head in a war long before Ichabod was even born. When Ichabod Crane's descendant inherits a house in modern-day Sleepy Hollow, she discovers the Headless Horseman is real. Isadora Crane will have to figure out how and why the curse came about in order to stop it before the Horseman kills anyone else or drives her mad. She thought she knew the story of her ancestor but learns that there's so much more to him than she ever imagined. Can she end the curse before it's too late? Can she learn to rely on her friends and let them help her or will she use this as another excuse to push them away? Will she learn from Ichabod's experiences or is she doomed to repeat his mistakes?
