Miles Jet returns. It's been two years since he buried his friend, (Lady of the Ergosphere) and his soldier's life goes on. Serving as a bio-armor pilot in a special forces unit, his teammate Trent talks him into taking on a seemingly simple rescue mission. Despite Miles's initial reluctance and distrust of Trent's schemes, he agrees to retrieve two Confederation citizens from Lonely Cliffs Redoubt, a historical frontier outpost. What he finds is just the beginning of massive complications to come.
