Dave DeWitt is one of the world's foremost experts on chile peppers and spicy foods. Known as the "Pope of Peppers," he is the founder of Fiery Foods & Barbecue and the author or coauthor of numerous books on chiles, hot sauces and Southwestern cuisine. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Writer, editor, registered dietitian and food consultant Nancy Gerlach is a nationally recognized authority on chiles and New Mexican cuisine. Her articles have appeared in newspapers and national magazines, and she has authored ten books, including eight with Dave DeWitt.
