In this third book of her memoir, Dave and Arlene sail from Australia to Southeast Asia, hoping to find safe haven until threat of war in the Middle East subsides. After settling into a beautiful marina in Port Dickson, Malaysia, they buy a car and spend two years traveling in Malaysia and Thailand, as well as a month hiking in Nepal. During that time, the Boxing Day Tsunami causes havoc across the Indian Ocean, and kidnappings on the sailing route to the Red Sea become a constant threat. With so many places still to explore, they now fly to cities like Hong Kong, Bangkok, Istanbul, Athens, and Lisbon, and travel by bus and train through Bolivia, Peru, and Chile. They then follow the Silk Route through China, tour the killing fields of Cambodia, and peer down into Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam.
