Charlotte Hart was the daughter of a farmer and was in love with Kyle Bunwitch. While still in love with him (Kyle), Charlotte became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy, who after some months died. When their relationship was on, Charlotte became pregnant again and delivered a girl called Valerie Rothstein, and she and Kyle became engaged. Charlotte became confused in the journey of her love for Kyle and looked outside their 'love nest.' She cheated with an optician whom she was unaware was to marry a woman chosen by his parents. Charlotte began to look down on Kyle 's career and told him he was not the father of her daughter; these words said after she heard that Kyle was cheating on her. Having heard the hurtful words (that Valerie was not his), Kyle called off the engagement to Charlotte.

Later, the optician followed his parents' hearts and Charlotte was left all alone without a love partner. She now wanted Kyle back and every time she looked at Valerie, it was like she saw Kyle, but Kyle had moved on. Kyle 's marriage to Sabrina Moss resulted in a divorce and while they were on separation, Sabrina poisoned Kyle. Kyle died and justice was done when she and her mother went to jail. Before Kyle was buried, Barry; the ex-boyfriend of Charlotte reappeared and was ready to marry Charlotte.
