Julio Cesar Garcia Alvarez received his Master's in Electronic and Computer Engineering (2000), Doctor of Engineering - Automatics (2012). With more than twenty years as a professor at the National University of Colombia (2001 until now), I have carried out six research projects in the area of digital signal processing, multimedia and sustainable electronic systems. Before working at the university, I did research work with the scientist Jorge Reynolds Pombo (2000), who currently works at the SHAIO Clinic. Most of the time (2005-2012) I did my work mainly in digital image processing, specifically in the area of image quality assessment, which resulted in my doctoral thesis, a research internship at Aachen RWTH University, a research seedbed and three indexed articles. In the area of sustainable electronic systems, I have been working for the last six years, which has resulted in a project of social extent, an award for the same category, two master's theses, whose students have received awards in entrepreneurship, in addition to the construction of a sustainable irrigation system for greenhouses. |
