Rafael Sabatini was a British-Italian writer of adventure novels, several of which became international best-sellers. His best-known works include "Scaramouche," "The Sea Hawk," "Captain Blood" and "Bellarion the Fortunate." In all, Sabatini produced thirty-four novels, eight short story collections, six non-fiction books, dozens of short stories, and several plays. His works have regularly been adapted to the stage and screen.
