David MacDougall is Honorary Professor in the Research School of Humanities and the Arts at the Australian National University. He has written extensively on documentary cinema and has made over 30 ethnographic and documentary films. He is author of The Art of the Observer, The Looking Machine, The Corporeal Image, and Transcultural Cinema.
